Messages are various ways of communicating with a public organization. They could be Freedom of Information request, citizen's initiatives, lobbying etc. Govdirectory aims to help anyone communicating clearly and precisely in a constructive manner. To do that, in this wiki we have templates stored in a structured way so that we can dynamically guide a person to select the right type of message depending on their purpose and who they are communicating with.

Messages can therefore have various levels of generality and can be refined depending on the organization getting contacted and in which jurisdiction they are located and the type of communication the person is doing.
